Description
An Egyptian terracotta canopic jar lid, New Kingdom, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, in the form of a male (Imsety) wearing black wig, tucked behind the ears, the face painted a reddish color. A handsome example and well-preserved with nice style! H: 3 2/3 in (9.4cm). Intact with much remaining pigmentation. Ex West Sussex, England private collection.
