Andrew Peters is well known for his plein air or 'in the open air' paintings, this work is a fine example of that style. The light is that of a late fall or early winter sunshine perfectly captured, less bright and more golden cast, like an October afternoon. Though he resides in Iowa, Peters is well known as an Artist of the American West. For most of the past ten years, his work has been selected for the annual Masters of the American West Fine Art Exhibition. This work is signed lower left, the image measures 24 x 30, frame measures 28.75 x 34.75 inches.
