Titled 'Parable' and signed lower left with a date of 1934, MacMorris describes this triptych as, "...a picture in three compartments side-by-side, was one of the large number of decorative murals I painted while in New York. Among other murals I executed while at Carnegie Hall were those installed in the Whitehall Hotel, Sulgrave Hotel, Hotel Dauphin, the Chanin Theater, the Normandy Tavern and in several private homes... This particular mural was done in oil and is what I would call a stylized design." Pictured in the MacMorris estate catalog, "60 Years of MacMorris", 1981. The measurements are 34 X 67 inches overall.

Very good, original untouched, extremely minor spots of varnish at the extreme edge in just a few places, mildly dry in a few spots, the center sticks that divide the sections are loosened.
