Description

Marion Breckinridge (20th century). This bronze plaque shows the three founders of the Pony Express and is dated 1860-1861 to 1960-1961. In addition, the plaque depicts a lone Pony Express rider on horseback following Overland route from St. Joseph, MO to Sacramento, CA. The plaque is signed underneath the Pony Express logo and obverse side has the foundry stamp of Frank Hays Metalworks Sonoma, CA. Weighing in around 12 pounds, this plaque is in very good condition. Size 17" Dia.
