Description
Pre-columbian Mixtec Tripod Bowl from Mexico, ca. 1000-1500 A.D. A bowl sitting on top of three short incised legs depicting an animal, most likely a jaguar with a toothy grimace. The inside painted with red and four orange colored squares. There is also an incised pattern in the interior that would have been used for grating food. Nice deposits visible on the surface attesting to its age. (3-1/2" in height x 3-7/16" in Diameter.)
