Samuel Hall, Apr. 26, 1782; Oct. 16, 1783; and 1 issue with loss to dateline [“Feb. 21, 1782” written in blue in upper portion of front page by the previous owner.] Other 2 issues listed above have marginal losses. Dampstaining. [4] pages [or 2 leaves] per issue. ++ SUPPLEMENT TO THE BOSTON-GAZETTE, &c. 2 Issues: (Edes & Gill), Mar. 16, 1767 and Apr. 20, 1767. [2 pages] or [1] leaf each. Losses to text, Apr. 20 issue quite creased, lighter creasing to Mar. 16, Mar. 16 has a little bit of tape repairing. ++ THE DAILY ADVERTISER. NY: Francis Childs, Mar. 19, 1795. [4]pp or [2 leaves]. The issue for Oct. 25 has on its front page an article related to the organization/establishment/planning of the Society of Cincinnati (under “Cantonment of the American Army, on Hudson’ s River, May 10, 1783”). [4]pp per issue. Worn, 1st issue has loss affecting dateline (date written on the paper by previous owner), other losses, each issue has a few portions clipped. A few have tape repairs; several have paper clip. 1st issue repaired. ++ THE PHILADELPHIA GAZETTE, And Universal Daily Advertiser. 2 Issues: Mar. 9 and 19, 1796. [4] pp. Dampstaining to the Mar. 19 issue. ++ Front page from the Apr. 9, 1791 issue of: THE NEW-HAMPSHIRE GAZETTE, AND THE GENERAL ADVERTISER. Loss of text from lower portion. ++ THE BOSTON HERALD. Mar. 3, 1863. Worn. ++ THE NEW-YORK DAILY TRIBUNE. 2 Issues: Nov. 16 and 17, 1864. Worn. ++ THE NEW YORK HERALD. Nov. 17, 1864. Creased for storage and chipped to some degree. ++ Indenture (contract for a transaction involving land).”This Indenture made this twenty third day of July-One thousand eight hundred and Eleven, between David Wehrly of George Town in the District of Columbia of the one part, and Jonathan Wehrly, of Baltimore County… sum of One Dollar to him…” The land was in Georgetown. On paper. 4to (by size), secretarial text handwritten on 1 ¼ pages. Folded vertically once, horizontally 3 times, and docketed: “Received the 7th day of October 1811 to be recorded…” Signed by “David Wehrly.” Some splitting to folds. Expected toning. ++ Indenture (different handwriting). July 23, 1811. Docketing is Oct. 7, 1811. Between David Wehrly and John…” (last name illegible, but might be “Mauntz.” Same size as the David to Johnathan Wehrly indenture, also signed by David Wehrly, but with loss of 1 of its 8 sections (a blank section, so text is unaffected).
