A huge Corinthian Black-Figure kotyle, c. 6th Century BC, one side depicting a robed male figure dancing with five satyrs, the opposite side with a pair of warriors flanked by four nude men, beautiful scrolling floral band above both scenes, a wide band containing animals and floral devices below; all with incised accents and painted with dark brown and red slip. H: 12 ½ in (31.6 cm); W: 16 ¾ in (42.7 cm). . A large and impressive example with antique repairs, the interior line with heavy fabric for added stability. Ex Harborough, England private collection
