Description
We are very pleased to present this handsome wild duck transfer porcelain charger from the famed C.M. Hutschenreuther factory in Arzberg, Bavaria, Germany, ca. 1918-1939. This gorgeous 12 x 12 x 2 inch high charger features the central theme, surrounded by lovely spring flowers, and exceptional Rococo gilded medallions, all over a very deftly sculpted 4 leaf clover mold. The base stamp was actually used from 1918-1945, but due to the style and copious gilding, which was absent during the lean WW II years, this outstanding 2# charger is definitely from prior to the war. This is a wonderful collectible display in VG- Excellent condition. Research consulted: Marks on German, Bohemian and Austrian Porcelain 1710 to the Present / by Robert Rontgen; Directory of European Porcelain / by Ludwig Danckert; Bohemian Decorated Porcelain / by Dr. James D Henderson. *** Weight: 2# - Measurements: 12 x 12 x 2
