Fine lithographed view of Kanawha Fall in Virginia, float mounted and framed, based on the original painting by Beyer. Beyer was a German artist who traveled extensively in America, primarily in Virginia, between 1848 and 1857. The paintings, which he created from life, depict Virginia’s great spas, cities, and rural landscapes in the years leading up to the Civil War. This view was originally published, along with a series of others, in Album of Virginia. Framed: 25 ¼ x 32 ½ inches. Sheet size: 16 x 22 ½ inches
