Description
14 pieces of US Army Insignia. They were kept together, and came from the bringback of a single veteran. Includes: Two patches; a Sterling Silver and Enamel Combat Infantry Badge with Blue Enamel background (Marked "STERLING" on the back); Two enamel and chrome "FORWARD" pins; Two concave and two flat brass U.S. insignia uniform pinback buttons; A uniform pin from the US Army Corps of Engineers with the two-turret castle in relief, marked on the back by the maker (GEMSCO N.Y.); Four ribbons pins, one of which is a double, with their respective stars. Measurements: Patches: 3.75" x 2" and 2.25" diameter ; Button pins (brass): 1" diameter; Forward enameled pins: 1.25" x 0.9"; Sterling Combat Infantry Badge - 3" x 1", 17.4 grams in weight; Ribbons: Large - 2.75"; Small – 1.5".
