Description
Original medal from the Coronation of George IV (George Augustus Frederick; 12 August 1762 – 26 June 1830), from the House of Hannover. Possibly struck to celebrate the first year as a king. Made of pewter. Obverse: Ascended to the British Throne Jan 29, 1820 in the 58th Year of His Age. Reverse: Hell dem seine treuen Hannoveraner besuchen den König (in German). Measurements: Approx. 44mm or 1.75" diameter (across)
Condition
Deep & dark CHOICE pewter patina, developed over time. Signs of wear due to the soft nature of Pewter. A puncture up top and some irregularity on the rim under his neck
