Description
North Carolina Currency
April 2, 1776 North Carolina Six Dollar Squirrel Eating Nut
North Carolina. April 2, 1776. Halifax Issue. Six Dollars. “Squirrel Eating Nut” vignette. Conservation. Very Fine.
Fr. NC-163b. A pleasing “1776” dated Revolutionary War note, clean and well printed upon typical laid period paper. There are a few deft sealed edge and centerfold splits seen only from its otherwise very clean and distraction-free blank reverse. It is well centered with all text and designs present, including the “Squirrel Eating Nut” vignette at lower left. A very collectible circulated note.
