Signed First Day Cover commemorating Manfred Freiherr von Richthofen and featuring a colour image of two aircraft in battle and with an inset portrait of the Red Baron. Post marked 21st April 1977. Signed ('Gerd Barkhorn') in bold blue fountain pen ink with his name alone to a clear area. Together with two Royal Air Force covers commemorating the 30th & 31st Anniversaries of the Battle of Britain, each featuring colour images of aircraft, individually signed by the Luftwaffe Fighter Aces Erich Hartmann and Adolf Galland.
