Fundamental work on property by the renowned German jurist F.K. von Savigny. The work is focused on the details of the concepts of ownership in legal matters, for example on acquisition and lost, debarment , juris quasi possessio and modification happened in Roman Law.

First Edition in French based on the German sixth edition, translated by the lawyer Jules Beving.

Friedrich Karl von Savigny (1779-1861) was a renowned German jurist, politician and philosopher, coming from Lorraine. After studies in many German Universities he became tenured of Jurisprudence in Berlin. He wrote a famous treatise on Ownership (Das Recht des Besitzes , 1803) and was the founder of the so called German Historical School of Law. From 1842 to 1848 he was ministry of the Prussian State.

First Italian edition of this collection of historical essays on Right by Karl von Savigny translated in Italian for lawyer and students. Founder of the German Historical School of Law, Savigny opposed to the positive conception of law, the authoritativeness of Ius commune , the custom, that was effective in Germany together with the written law.

Giovanni Ronga (XIX century) was lawyer and Roman Law teacher. He published many specific treatises, among them Della condizione giuridica dei figli nati fuori di matrimonio (1873), regarding children born outside the regular marriage.
