Bakshi’s directorial debut was the first animated feature to receive an “X” rating, and is the most successful independent animated feature of all time. Based on the Robert Crumb comic book of the same name, the film’s controversial content and political satire was unheard of at the time. This setup consists of (2) matching untrimmed cels, one of the characters and one of the smoke effects, both measuring 10.5 x 23.5 in. Total image size is 9.5 x 19 in. Cels are in fine condition with some slight wrinkling and scratches on smoke the effects cel.
