(Walt Disney Studios, ca. 1942/43) Rare sequence of (10) original production drawings featuring “Jiminy Cricket” most likely from a Walt Disney Studio wartime training film. During World War II, the U.S. government relied heavily on Walt Disney Studios as a builder of morale through its propaganda films and also for providing instruction and training films to its sailors and soldiers. Between 1942 and 1945, Disney made films for every branch of the U.S. military and government. These (10) drawings are from late 1942 or 1943 and were most likely part of a training film. All (10) drawings are on untrimmed 10 x 12 in. animation paper. Image sizes are all approximately 6 x 5 in. Paper is in fine condition.
