948. Incredible Walt Peregoy original concept art for Ken Andersons’s Catfish Bend project. (Walt Disney Studios, 1968) One of Ken Anderson’s pet projects was a feature based on a series of children’s’ books by Ben Lucien Burman titled Catfish Bend. A very complicated story with a multitude of characters, Anderson worked on it for several years and worked with some of the top artists, and writers at the studio to develop it. This stunning 21.5 x 14 in. graphite concept is by the legendary Walt Peregoy, who collaborated with Anderson on several earlier productions. Drawn in Peregoy’s unmistakable style, this is one of the finest pieces we have seen form this proposed feature. Signed and dated by Peregoy in the lower right. In very fine condition.
