Description
A large matching pair of footed salvers with pierced, cast and applied borders of ladies heads, bearded figures, grapes and hounds amid ornate rococo swirls, lap jointed construction and hand chased cartouche in the central plates, date marked 1747 and 1748, maker's mark for silversmith John Craig (d. 1783), Dublin hallmarks, no monogram, each measures 3 x 18.5 inches, weights of 115.7 and 122 ozt.
Condition
Very minor light wear and shallow faint scratches to the central plates, very good overall.
