Description
COL A unique autograph album (approx 20 x 25cm) including signatures in various inks of celebrities who took part in the nationally broadcast 1987 BBC Children In Need telethon. Black leather cloth, with gilt borders and page edges. Highlights include: Paul and Linda McCartney, Charlton Heston, Boy George, James Ivory, Vanessa Redgrave, Barry White, Shirley Maclaine, Sheila Hancock, Emma Thompson, Bette Davis, Peter Ustinov, Johnny Cash, Spike Milligan, Shirley Bassey and many, many more (multiple signatures per page). The album also comprises the signature of the long-standing host of the programme Sir Terry Wogan ("Best Wishes and Thank You, Terry Wogan"). Very light wear to corners. Free endpapers are partially unglued from the first and last page. A 13cm tear across the inner hinge, but otherwise in very good condition. A unique grouping of theatre, film and television celebrities, which was actually auctioned as part of that year's live television broadcast.
