MEM An original 71.2 x 55.9cm poster of "The Electric Circus", central line drawn illustration in black with titles in a hot-pink kinetic effect font. Imprint deatils on foot, signed in the stone by Tomi Ungerer, New York, The Electric Circus, 1969. The poster depicts a naked couple with male and female AC current electrical socket slots on the top of their heads. In fine condition. "The Electric Circus" was a rock music venue in New York's Greenwich Village for which Tomi Unger designed a series of six offset lithographs advertising "the ultimate legal entertainment experience". The place rapidly gained notoriety for its astonishing light shows.
