Collection of part-printed court documents from Harper's Ferry, (then) Va., 1840s and 1850s, relating mostly to delinquent debts and petty crime, signed by various residents of the town, notably Fountain Beckham (sometime mayor, killed in John Brown's Raid) and George Koonce (merchant, led citizens' defence of the town against Confederate forces, April 18, 1861; together with a regular army statement of account, September, 1848, signed by Dixon S. Miles, who surrendered his forces at Harper's Ferry to Stonewall Jackson in 1862, and was apparently then killed by his own troops
