H-146 U.S. Navy WWII metal models of Japanese ships. Wood suitcase which opens into a 2-section display of 20 Japanese model ships. Each one is mounted on a board which can be slid out of the case for closer examination. Ships include the battleships Kongo, Nagoto and Ise, an aircraft carriers of the Shokaku Class, cruisers of the Tone, Nachi, Atago, Mogami Classes as well as destroyers, etc. Models were made by the Comet Metal Products Company, Inc. in Richmond Hill, New York. All models are in very good to excellent condition. The wood display case is marked "US NAVY MINIATURES MODELS - JAPANESE NAVY". Rope handles and a locking clasp. Finish on the case shows some fading and wear. 16" x 4" x 14 1/8". Weight approximately 12 lbs. II+
