Political satire illustrated by George Cruikshank, with the rare "toy ladder" supplement to the third work, a folding plate, laid in loose. The autograph letter signed by Hone is bound in before the first work - in part: "Dear Sir, Alexander Davison was tried for fraud on Government in some Coal Contracts & found guilty in December 1808 - I presume he received sentence in January Term 1809... Can you do me the great kindness of telling me when he was sentenced..."

Condition

Some moderate soiling within, else very good in fine modern binding.
