Serial No. 134272. Manufactured in 1890. This is a U.S. issue single action army .45. Standard features are as follows: 7-1/2" barrel; six shot; .45 LC caliber; fluted cylinders; walnut grips. This is a Cavalry issue as evidenced by the U.S. stamp on frame. It was inspected by Renoldo A. Carr, his inspection stamps (R.A.C.) can be found on the cylinder, under barrel, and frame. Trigger guard is stamped with a "K", backstrap stamped "K". Cartouche no longer visible on walnut grips. The barrel and cylinder retain a smooth blue-brown-plum finish, as does trigger guard and backstrap. Case colors on frame have darkened (screw in frame). Walnut grips are slightly shy to metal. Four perfect clicks. Cylinder indexes, locks up like vault. Mint bore. Screw heads are excellent. Left grip has three kill notches. Hammer colors have darkened. Extremely tight and clean Cavalry model as issued during the Indian wars.
