This fine rifle was manufactured in 1941 and has all the pre-war standard features that include stripper clip cut action, a Lyman receiver sight, sporting rear sight, sling swivels, checkered walnut straight comb stock. Chambered for the .30-06. Has the Winchester checkered steel buttplate. Rifle retains virtually all of the original factory blue finish, except the trigger guard which is worn to grey. Beautiful stock with light wear around pistol grip. Perfect action and perfect shiny bore. These pre-wars were some of the finest Winchester model 70s ever manufactured.
