Most attractive and unusual three shelf Italian Florentine wall hanging chest or cabinet with glass door and matching glass side lights. Tiny gilt floral carvings surround the glass against the antique cream framework. Tiny brass floral knob with burgundy,purple and gilt tassel. Larger gilt floral motifs seen above the door and below the gilded arched top with large carved header and deep trim. Triangular bottom trim with gilt lattice in panels on each section and matching gilt carved finial. The back wall of the chest, larger lattice gilt design with the top shelf back wall slightly darker than the other two probably from having items flat against the back for many years. Top two wooden shelves in gilt on the top side and antique cream on the underside toning perfectly with the cabinet. The third shelf is glass. Whether hung at eye level or slightly above, the gilded shelves would be seen and if hung higher the underside would tie perfectly with the background. Attractive either way. Photos for both. All shelves are removable. The flared bottom portion of the chest makes a wonderful appearance on all sides with deep gilt scrolled designs. Marked "Italy" on the back with three sturdy metal hooks for mounting. In excellent condition and sturdy construction. A light could also be easily mounted on the interior if desired.
