This large (35"x45" frame size) oil painting is a majestic view of mountain peaks beyond a blue lake. Painted around 1950 and sighed K.Eberlein, this appears to be a view of the American West. I have found a few artists with similar names, but their dates do not match the time of this painting. However, it is made by a trained and accomplished hand, and is a first-class composition. The painting has been lined to stabilize it, and cleaned. Mild craquelure shows, especially in some of the lighter areas. The condition is appropriate for an oil painting of this age. Canvas size is 30" x 40", The original gold-painted wood frame is 35"x45". The frame shows some dings and wear, and has been touched-up. Together, the painting and frame are quite impressive!
