Description
Neoclassical Italian plaster early 1900's plaque depicts a group of singers dressed in the robes and bare feet of centuries past. The two fore ground male singers holding a long sheet of music to follow the notes and words. Of special interest are the two background members of the chorus on either side whose faces are all that is visible and fade into the background. Much more recessed than the high relief of the first row. Wire hanger on the back mounted into the plaster. Several small air bubbles in the plaster, yet no chips, cracks or nicks. The plaster has taken on a wonderful tone of cream and darker highlights with age. Measures 10.5 H X 7 L X 2 D. Item ID: SL3806
