This cutlery was produced by Rosenthal, its shape ‘Romance’ is a design by Björn Wiinblad. The cutlery is comprised of 146 pieces and can be used for 12 persons. The cutlery is 90 g silver plated and gilded. The handles are decorated with a dot pattern. A very luxurious cutlery for a glamorous evening.

The cutlery ‘Romanze’ by Rosenthal bears underneath the maker’s mark Rosenthal, numberings and partly ‘Germany’. The condition of the cutlery is good with traces of wear and age. Several pieces are unused and come in the original packaging. The length of the table knives is 23 cm and the total weight of all pieces is ca. 7220 grams.
Björn Wiinblad (1918-2006)
Björn Wiinblad was a Danish painter, designer and artist in ceramics, silver, bronze, textiles and graphics. His works are exhibited in many museums worldwide. He was the creator of poster designs for the American Embassy in Paris in 1947, which made him famous. Later, his posters illustrated the famous Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen. He created costumes for numerous ballets. Wiinblad was an essential designer for Rosenthal, the traditional German porcelain manufacturer.
