The present carpet is a so-called Keshan Kork. It shows a mirrored pattern in shades of red with a scalloped round medallion in the center on a blue ground – typical of the oriental motifs on Keshan rugs. The large motif is framed by a broad main border with a revolving decoration of vase motifs.
The carpet is in good condition with light signs of wear. The colors are slightly faded and the edges are a little worn along the sides. The dimensions are 340 x 550 cm. (tfa)
