This press print of United Press Association shows the famous rock and roll star Elvis Presley at a charity campaign organized by ‘March of Dime’, that had been committed at that time to the fight against polio. Presley lifts up the eight year old Mary Kosloski who was the ‘National Polio Poster Girl’ in 1955
The gelatin silver print shows on recto a photographically reproduced typographical description. On the revers there is the stamp of United Press Association and the distribution stamp of Elio Sorci. The print is in good condition considering its age with creases especially in the lower left and upper right corner. The image measures 20.4 x 14.8 cm, the sheet 22.7 x 17.8 cm. (fea)
