The present sculpture of a Chinese court lady comes from the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD) and is made of terracotta. The execution and its long wide robe give the figure a decent powerfulness. The figure has a patina of age that highlights the folds of the.

The sculpture is hollow inside. It is of is in optically good, yet largely restored condition. It shows one retouched crack on the back side and some terrestrial deposits all around. The height of the figure is 47 cm. (cko)
