This stone figure is a standing anthropomorphic sculpture from the Tairona culture. Its eyes and mouth are formed like coffee beans and the indentations in its face suggest a beard. With its hands it holds a sceptre and a spear, indicating that the sculpture is a Shaman from the Tairona-culture, created between 1000-1500 A.D. in Columbia.
The stone figure from the Tairon culture is in optically good condition showing signs of age and wear. A small spot on the back of the head was repaired. The dimensions are 24cm in height, 8.4 cm in width and 9 cm in depth. (cru)
