Length of the beam: 114 cm
Diameter of weighing pan: 29 cm
Good condition

This 18th century Ottoman scale is an interesting piece with forged iron hooks and chains. The scale pan is made of bronze. All bronze parts are hand hammered. The end of the beam is crescent-shaped. The scale has a sliding counterweight attached to the beam instead of a hanging one, which makes it more accurate in reading weight. The scale bears authorized seals from the Ottoman weights and measure controlling department.

The scale is in good condition for its age with signs of age and wear. The iron shows corrosion. The length of the beam is 114 cm, the diameter of weighing pan is 29 cm. (tfa)
