Description
Geisha Takematsu and Katsura Kogoro
Interesting scene of two beauties in an upstairs room as a samurai climbs the stairs at right, frowning unhappily. The young beauty kneeling just inside the doorway smiles, holding a wooden board upright in her hand. She wears a lovely lilac colored kimono patterned with blossoms, her hair arranged with many floral ornaments. At left, an older woman peers cautiously out the door behind her, shielding the light from the lamp with her sleeve. Beautifully detailed with embossing in her striped kimono and the white kimono trim. An intriguing and rare subject.
