Processions Converging at a Shrine
Incredible scene showing several different daimyo's processions converging on a shrine at the edge of a town. In the center, a nobleman rides in a palanquin as his retainers start off across an arched wooden bridge. Two other groups flank him on either side, arriving from the opposite direction, while still other procession make their way along the streets at upper left and upper right. The red buildings of the shrine are nestled under the tall pines atop a hill at center, with two torii gates leading to the grounds. An unusual depiction with fantastic detail, including touches of burnishing and embossing.
14 1/8" x 27 5/8" + margins as shown
