Battle with Explosion

Dramatic scene of a battle with a shot from a cannon exploding in the center, sending warriors flying through the night sky amidst clouds of swirling gray smoke. AT left, troops carry two wounded men from the field, using wooden shields as makeshift stretchers. At upper right, a soldiers slices off the head of an enemy, blood spurting from the neck and the head flying up into the air. Beyond the smoke at upper left, a view of a landscape along a river is shown, with the towers of a castle rising above the rooftops of a town. A fascinating subject with incredible detail.

With excellent color and detail as shown. Three panels, attached at the seams. Horizontal center fold. Large loss at right edge of right panel, a few small holes, repaired, blends well. Creasing and soiling. Please see photos for details.
