Description
Aizuri-e Tanzaku Prints
Rare, uncut page featuring four tanzaku or poem slip prints, done in aizuri-e style using only shades of blue. The first design shows a full moon seen through bamboo, while the second image shows birds swimming with the moon reflected on the surface of the water. The next image shows a crow and a heron perched on wooden pilings, while the last design features blossoming iris. Each design features the artist's rabbit seal (not read) and the publisher's mark of Matsuki Heikichi (Daikokuya) in Tokyo. A lovely set of designs, unusual to find uncut.
