This ancient Greek Skyphos is made of painted clay and features a bulbous body with a wide opening, low stand and two handles beneath the opening. The Skyphos was originally a drinking cup. The mythical cup of Heracles was a Skyphos as well, so that the vessel is also called Herakles cup.
The vessel is in good condition, showing some major losses of the painting. The diameter is 13 cm (20 cm including the handles), and the height is 11 cm. (cko)
