Ancient Egyptian chalkstone head with fine facial features
The present fragment of a statuette’s head was presumably manufactured in the late period of ancient Egypt (circa 664-332 BC). The head of the young man is characterized by stylized hair, big ears and very finely crafted facial features with painted eyes and broad eyebrows. The smile of the young man has a great expressive power.
The head shows typical mineral deposits and small losses due to age. Otherwise in good condition. The height is 7 cm. (cko)
