Description
Jaeger-LeCoultre (Swiss, 1833- ). A polished gilt-brass equestrian stirrup form desk or shelf clock made by LeCoultre for Hermes. Clock is glazed on both sides with polished gilt baton hands, rhodium-plated with a linear wheel train, straight-line lever escapement, and monometallic balance. Missing leather strap at the top. Front glass signed Jaeger-LeCoultre, inscribed on bottom "Hermes Paris" with serial number "3215005" and "Swiss made". Inscribed on movement Jaeger-LeCoultre, Swiss" and "Sixteen 16 Jewels". Inscription on lower front "To Mr. and Mrs. Henry DuPont with Sincere Appreciation, Jim and Rick Stein". Approximately 6" tall x 5" wide.
