Description
American, late 19th/ early 20th century. A pair of hand colored engravings engraved by John William Hill (American, 1812-1879) after drawings by V. Balch, each depicting a clam or oyster in full view, profile, the interior, and the topography. One is inscribed lower right "Lith. of Endicott New York". Framed 19.75" x 17", unframed sight size 9.75" x 7.75".
