Benjamin Logan (1742-1802) Pioneer, soldier, and politician. Prior to the American Revolution, Logan participated in Bouquet's Expedition and Lord Dunmore's War. In 1775, he became one of the early settlers of Kentucky when he and his friend Daniel Boone constructed the stockade, "Logan's Fort." From the end of the American Revolution until his death in 1802, Logan contributed significantly to Kentucky's development, serving as part of the State Constitutional Convention in 1792 and as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives. 6" x 5" document signed twice in the text and at the conclusion, "Benjamin Logan, Major," Lincoln County, Kentucky, June 24, 1786. "...before me Benjn Logan a justice of the peace...undertook for Nathaniel Logan...in an action of debt....
