1781 Revolutionary War Era Newspaper. 10" x 16" Pennsylvania Evening Post, four pages, January 2, 1781 The newspaper includes news on recently enacted laws, war news from London, Boston, Providence, Norwich and Chatham, rewards for run-away slaves and slave sales "...a likely Negroe Wench, about 25 years of age...very handy...." In addition there is a list of Charleston citizens whose property has been seized by the British because of their support of the Revolution including Francis Marion, Henry Laurens, William Moultrie and Charles Pickney. Age toned; as expected, clipping to the margins.
