Slavery Document. 7" x 3" partially printed legal document signed, State of Mississippi, December 26, 1853. The document is a claim against the estate of Joseph Spangler in the amount of $450. Attached is the original promissory note signed by Spangler, in favor of John Rohbacker in the amount of "...Four hundred and fifty Dollars for balance for the negro boy George. Jackson, June 7th 1851..." Surface soiling.
