Rococo style tea pot of high quality
This sterling silver coffee or tea pot was made by Marshall & Sons in Edinburgh. It is designed in Rococo style manner and features a lush chased rocaille decoration. The bulbous pot shows a cartouche with an engraved crest on one side. The handle is fitted with two insulating rings made of bone.
Every piece is hallmarked with duty mark, Edinburgh town marks, maker's mark ‘M & S’ and date letter ‘D’.
The pot is in good condition with minor signs of wear. It measures 17.5 cm in height. The total weight is approx. 765 grams.
