Very good condition
This is a noble mocha service, crafted of silver by a Belgian silversmith after 1942. The shape with bulbous walls and curved trains in rococo style depict an elaborate floral garlands décor. The pieces are standing each on four curved rocaille feet with perch handles. The lower part of the pieces is adorned with a point and line decor. The mocha service is consisting of mocha pot, sugar bowl and cream jar, as well as sugar tongue, tea strainer and oval tray. The knob of the hinge lids of the pot and the sugar pot are designed in the shape of roses, likewise are the quitters of the sugar tongue. The handle of the pot is especially finely elaborated. The filigree silver service is additionally embellished with gilding inside.
Every piece is hallmarked with the Belgian export silver mark ‘A’ and the purity ‘835’. The silver mocha service is in very good condition. Slight traces of oxidation are visible. The dimensions of the tray are 30 x 22.5 cm and the pot is 17 cm in height. (tm)
