Description

Jules Moigniez (France, 1835-1894). "Stag on Rocky Outcrop", patinated bronze, incised signature on base "J. Moigniez". A pair of cast bronze sculptures mounted each on an oval carved black stone plinth, each depicting a 12-point antlered stag standing at attention with head turned slightly to it's right on a naturalist rocky outcrop that is decorated with leaves on front. Approximate height with base 29.5" x 14.5" wide at base.
