William James Muller (English, 1812-1845). "Animals Grazing in Winter", oil on wood board, signed lower right "WM". Painting depicts a lone farmer with a bale of hay slung over his back and accompanied by a dog walking toward a group of cows, sheep, and horses in a snowy meadow, with rural structures in the background and snow stormy clouds above. Old label on verso of frame "The Noted Cheap Picture Frame Warehouse and Photographic Studio". Framed 13.5" x 15.25", unframed 8" x 10".
