This pair of bracelets stand out due to their military-inspired appearance, which Coco Chanel used continuously as a source of inspiration for her creations. The 4.5 cm broad bracelet is covered in motifs reminiscent of army medals. The front main motif is decorated with the famous CC-logo. The edge of the bracelet gives the illusion of wrapped slim ribbons and grants the piece of jewelry a playful touch of femininity. Both bracelets are equipped with a hinge, two safety closures and an additional chain closure. They are an absolute statement piece, especially when worn together, and can brighten up every outfit.
Both bracelets are in very good condition with just a few very slight traces of wear. On the inside, they both feature the manufacturer's brand. Slight oxidation of the material in some places, with chipping of the golden color in two places. The diameter is 6 cm (2.36 inch), width is 4.5 cm (1.77 inch). Both pieces come in the original Chanel packaging.
CHANEL
Gabrielle Bonheur Chasnel, also known as Coco Chanel, is one of the most influential fashion designers of the 20th century. Known for her avant-garde and seductive style during the 1920s, her trend setting designs paved the way for what fashion has become today. Coco Chanel became the first great couturière because she adopted a new androgynous style made out of jersey. By the early 20s, Chanel launched her signature cardigan jacket and the following year matched its success with her versatile, semi-formal ‘little black dress’. Both pieces quickly became a Chanel trademark and an enduring fashion standard. To the jacket, she added the luxury Chanel Classic Flapbag 2.55, named after its launch in February 1955. Coco Chanel died on 10 January 1971 at the Hotel Ritz in Paris where she had a residence for more than 30 years. Since 1983, Karl Lagerfeld has been creative director of Chanel's fashion house. His contemporary creations are marked by unconventionality, perfectionism and uniqueness.
